The design of this Boujad rug is built around a rhythm of flowing lines and repeating shapes. Pale blue, blush pink, sage-taupe and warm neutral tones weave their way across the cream-coloured background, evoking landscapes, waterways or abstract geometric forms, depending on how you choose to read them.

Its palette is calm and harmonious, yet full of subtle details. From a distance it reads as a restrained, balanced piece, while a closer look reveals an ever-changing interplay of shapes and colours.

The rug was woven at the foothills of the Middle Atlas by one of our long-standing weaving partners. It has a short pile and a slightly felted wool surface, one of the most beloved characteristics of Boujad rugs. It is hand-knotted from dyed wool and finished with fringes on one end only.

** All our rugs are unique and personally selected. They reflect the imprint of the Amazigh weaving tradition, the individual creativity of their weavers, and the subtle imperfections of hand weaving. We believe these qualities are what give them their character and charm. The sizes mentioned above do not include fringes.
