A Hanbel flatweave rug hailing from a beautiful village in the Atlas Mountains, with lovely pastel-coloured stripes. This very charming piece, with a well-timed colour combination, is the joint creation of Naima and Abasil Tiasa.

This is a rustic piece that was woven using thick, hand-dyed wool yarn using a flat-weave technique. Take a look at the close-up pics to get a feel for the weaving!

The piece itself is relatively thin and blanket-like, so if it’s going to be placed on the ground, it’s worth putting a slip-resistant rug pad underneath. It’s a great choice for an entry hall, in front of a small piece of furniture, or even in a holiday home.

The rug is woven of sheep’s wool on cotton warping and is fringed at both ends.

** All our rugs are unique and personally selected. They reflect the imprint of the Amazigh weaving tradition, the individual creativity of their weavers, and the subtle imperfections of hand weaving. We believe these qualities are what give them their character and charm. The sizes mentioned above do not include fringes.

Inspiration

Colour therapy at home! Subtle pastels, soothing earth tones or extravagant neons – there’s a colourful rug for you! A vibrant rug sets the mood of a room and a colourful rug also requires less care. If you’re longing to try a colours but you’re a bit hesitant, start with a smaller size.
