This thin, blanket-like Hanbel rug is ideal for a kid’s room, holiday home, or even an outdoor terrace, as it is made from blended yarns rather than wool. It features pictograms inspired by the Amazigh belief system and showcases a varied yet harmonious color palette. If you’re concerned about slipping, consider placing an anti-slip mat underneath—this will also help the rug lay flat and smooth.

The rug is flatwoven from mixed yarns in a khaki shade, with a variety of colors forming the intricate patterns—take a look at the close-up photos to see the detailed patterning! It is single-sided, leaving the thread ends exposed on the underside and fringed on one end only.

This piece was made near Boujad, and we discovered it in a consignment shop run by female weavers. We snapped it up immediately, knowing that many of you are searching for non-wool rugs with a slightly softer texture.

** All our rugs are unique and personally selected. They reflect the imprint of the Amazigh weaving tradition, the individual creativity of their weavers, and the subtle imperfections of hand weaving. We believe these qualities are what give them their character and charm. The sizes mentioned above do not include fringes.

Colour therapy at home! Subtle pastels, soothing earth tones or extravagant neons – there’s a colourful rug for you! A vibrant rug sets the mood of a room and a colourful rug also requires less care. If you’re longing to try a colours but you’re a bit hesitant, start with a smaller size.
